Abstract

As the celestial dance of knowledge and belief unfolds through the ages, we find ourselves at a pivotal juncture—a moment where the timeless truths of faith encounter the evolving complexities of governance and leadership. It is with a sense of both humility and excitement that we present to you the third issue of *Religion, Management, and Governance (RMG).
This edition offers a diverse range of perspectives, each contributing to the ongoing dialogue between religious principles and the practical challenges of management. Within these pages, the intersection of faith and leadership is explored with a keen eye for both tradition and innovation, reflecting the journal’s commitment to examining these themes from multiple angles.
In this issue, our contributors delve into the relationship between ideology, religion, and national competitiveness, presenting fresh insights into how these elements interact. The study on non-verbal communication in the Holy Qur'an provides a thought-provoking examination of the subtleties of divine language, while the analysis of performance management in executive agencies offers a practical look at contemporary governance challenges.
We also address the role of development banks in poverty alleviation, emphasizing the relevance of Islamic economic principles in this context. The discussion on educating public-sector managers based on religious teachings underscores the importance of integrating ethical considerations into leadership training.
As we reflect on the scholarly work presented here, it is important to acknowledge that many of the contributors to this issue are emerging voices in the field. While they may be early in their academic careers, the creativity and innovation found in their work is a testament to the fresh perspectives that youth can bring to the discourse. These young scholars challenge us to think beyond conventional boundaries and inspire new approaches to age-old questions.
This issue of RMG represents not just a collection of articles, but a convergence of ideas that invites us to reconsider the foundations of leadership and governance. It is an invitation to scholars and practitioners alike to engage with a worldview that is as thoughtful as it is dynamic, as rooted in tradition as it is open to change.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our contributors for their thoughtful scholarship and to our readers for their continued support. As we continue to explore the intersections of religion, management, and governance, we are committed to fostering a dialogue that is as inclusive as it is thought-provoking, encouraging a deeper understanding of the complexities that shape our world.
We invite you to explore this issue with an open mind and a receptive heart, as we journey together towards a future where justice and ethical leadership are not just ideals, but realities.
